Nike X SBTG X Royal Fam "Prison Blues" dunk series
The most expensive pair of sneakers I ever bought were the SBTG dunks these guys did a few years back. They provide a fresh and artistic spin on the ever ubiquitous dunk. They come out on 8/9 priced between $550 and $650. With only 24 pairs being made I guess I;m gonna have to stick with the one pair I got.

Raekwon interview in Wax Poetics Magazine
Wax Poetics has been one of my favorite magazines for a while now. If you see one on the rack pick it up. I always read it cover to cover. I've been hearing all good things about this new Raekwon record. This is a pretty good interview.

Crooks & Castles X SE Racing 26" bike
SE Racing and Crooks & Castles hooked up and came up with this fresh bike. Low rider style diamond stitch seat and pads, Crooks & Castles logos placed nicely on all parts of the bike, and real classic white wall tires. They're only making 300. And they're going for $750 USD. pretty nice.
DJ HERO: RENEGADE Edition
A spin-off of Activision's massive Guitar Hero franchise, DJ Hero will come out this fall for all the major gaming systems. Jay-Z and Eminem are gonna have this special edition that is supposed to have a bunch of extra songs including some un-released songs from each of them and one they do together.
This is pretty cool considering the Soundtrack is pretty beastin' with some good party music by the Black Eyed Peas, 50 Cent, Justice, Marvin Gaye, Beck, Beastie Boys and N.E.R.D to name some. Even cooler there is a lot of classic breaks and scratch sounds submitted by the games DJ consultants DJ Shadow, DJ Z-Trip, DJ AM and Cut Chemist. As far as simulated live musical performance video games go, this one should be the bomb.

Fleet Foxes in D.C. poster by Nate Duval
The Fleet Foxes are in D.C. tomorrow night. Pretty cool poster. The Fleet Foxes are a folksy, mountain music that is great to listen to in long form. They put out a record on Sub Pop earlier this year. I got it. It's good.

Where the wild things are: featurette
Nice little featurette interviewing Maurice Sendak the books creator, along with it's director Spike Jonze. I thought Jonze was a great choice to direct because his music videos and short films have always had this playful quality that I think will lend well to a children's story. Sendack gives his full approval on the film. nice.

I Met the Walrus
In 1969, a 14-year-old Beatle fanatic named Jerry Levitan snuck into John Lennon's hotel room in Toronto and convinced him to do an interview. 38 years later, Levitan, director Josh Raskin and illustrator James Braithwaite have collaborated to create an animated short film using the original interview recording as the soundtrack. A spellbinding vessel for Lennon's boundless wit and timeless message, I Met the Walrus was nominated for the 2008 Academy Award for Animated Short. shouts to Mikey
